School Events At A Glance (2024-25)

 
Public Announcement Competition


Event Info

The Department of English hosted a Public Announcement Competition on the school assembly stage on September 21, 2024. Students showcased their announcement skills by simulating real-life scenarios, making announcements as typically heard at railway stations, airports, bus depots, and shopping malls. Their performances were both engaging and realistic, reflecting their ability to adapt to diverse public speaking environments. The event offered a creative platform for students to demonstrate their command of language and clarity of communication, while also fostering confidence and articulation in delivering important information to a large audience.

 
Rap Song Competition

Event Info

During the morning assembly on September 21, 2024, students from classes VII to IX actively participated in a highly competitive Rap Song competition. The event showcased their creativity and enthusiasm, as each participant delivered impressive performances, captivating the audience with their lyrical skills and stage presence. The competition was fierce, with students putting in great effort to stand out and make their mark.


 


Spell-Bee Competition held on September 14, 2024
Event Info

A Spell Bee competition was held in the AV Room for classes IX and X at Ambuja Vidya Niketan. Two students from each class were shortlisted based on their respective houses, resulting in a total of eight participants—two each from Aqua, Ignis, Terra, and Ventus House.


The competition consisted of four challenging rounds. The first round focused on "Spell the Word," where participants had to spell difficult words correctly. In the second round, "Pronounce the Word," students demonstrated their pronunciation skills. The third round required participants to "Unscramble the Letters" to form meaningful words, and the final round tested knowledge of "Words with Silent Letters."


After a tough battle, Ventus House secured the first position, followed by Terra, Ignis, and Aqua House. The event was a great success, highlighting the spelling skills and linguistic prowess of the participants.

 

Logo Making Competition held on Sep 6, 2024


Face Painting Competition


Event Info

In the assembly hall, a Face Painting competition was hosted on August 31st, 2024 where students from grades VIII to X participated with great enthusiasm. Their artistic skills, creativity, and critical insight were on full display. The event witnessed a substantial gathering, with a large number of students actively engaging in the artistic challenge.



Janmasthami Celebration

On August 26, 2024, AVN Upparwahi marked Janmasthami with a lively celebration featuring students from Classes I to XI. The event included captivating skits, dynamic dance performances, and enchanting songs, all reflecting the joyous spirit of the festival. The diverse array of performances highlighted the students' creativity and enthusiasm.


 


 

Historical Drama Competition

An inter-house English news reading competition was held on July 13, 2024, for students in classes 6 to 8. The purpose of this activity was to develop their presentation skills, public speaking abilities, voice modulation, and pronunciation in the English language. The competition aimed to enhance their communication skills and boost their confidence.



English Poem Recitation Competition

An English poem recitation competition was held on July 12, 2024, for students in classes 1 to 5. The primary aim of this event was to foster self-confidence, enhance musical intelligence, and promote self-expression among the young participants. It provided a platform for them to showcase their talents and creativity.

Two-Day workshop on Experiential Learning


Event Summary

Educators from various institutions gathered for a transformative two-day workshop on experiential learning, hosted by Ambuja Vidya Niketan, Upparwahi on 30th & 31st March 2024. The resource persons of the workshop were Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Principal, Ambuja Vidya Niketan and Dr. Rakesh Ranjan, Principal, Poddar International School, Ballarpur. Participants delved into topics such as Kolb's Cycle, Bloom's Taxonomy, SMART goal setting, LAAR Strategy & Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence in designing activities for students. Through dynamic discussions and practical exercises, educators explored how to integrate these methodologies into their teaching practices to create engaging and impactful learning experiences for students. Active participation from attendees representing schools such as Mount Carmel School,Ghugus, ABPS Awarpur, Holy Family Convent School, Gadchandur and Ambuja Vidya Niketan, Upperwahi showed the collaborative spirit and commitment to continuous improvement in implementing experiential learning principles in their classrooms.The two-day workshop came to a close at 5 pm on 31st March, 2024.

AVN Upparwahi Hosts 'Space on Wheels' Exhibition

Event Info

AVN Upparwahi, in collaboration with Vigyan Bharati, Nagpur, hosted the Space on Wheels exhibition by ISRO to educate and inspire students about Space Science and Technology. Distinguished guests included Mr. Sachin Malvi, Block Education Officer, and Mr. K. Subbulakshmanan, COM, Maratha Cement Works. Resource persons from Bharti Vidya Bhawan, Hinganghat guided the school on the exhibition, demonstrating space shuttle models inside the bus. The exhibition, featuring a specially designed bus, travels nationwide, showcasing India’s space missions and satellite technology. Activities included a Quiz, Space Shuttle gallery demonstration, and a video presentation. The principal, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, and visiting teachers commended the program, thanking ISRO for this impactful initiative.



Annual Day Celebration 2024

We celebrated our Annual Day 2024 under the able leadership of our Principal, Mr. Rajesh Sharma. Mr. Sudip Dasgupta, CMO, West II, Ambuja Cements and Mr. K. Subbulaxmanan, COM, Maratha Cements graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honours respectively.

Republic Day Celebration 2024

Event Info

Ambuja Vidya Niketan commemorated the 75th Republic Day on its sprawling campus with distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Sudip Dasgupta, CMO, West II. During the event, Mr. Dasgupta unfurled the National flag, inspected the student March Past, and delivered an insightful speech. The programme showcased student performances, including two patriotic songs and a dance. Mr. Amber Trivedi, in a concluding gesture, extended a Vote of Thanks, officially bringing the hour-long celebration to a close.

Cyber Safety Workshop

Event Info

An event focusing on child protection and cybersecurity awareness was conducted for 8th to 10th-grade students. Objectives included educating attendees on POCSO laws and cybercrime prevention. Distinguished guests Mr. Sumit Vijaykumar Joshi, Mr. Roshan Irpache, and Mr. Mujawar Yusuf Ali shared expertise. The event successfully empowered students to make informed decisions and fostered a sense of responsibility towards child protection and cybersecurity.



Social Science Exhibition

We hosted a Social Science Exhibition on December 23, 2023. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Raghavendrarao Jahagirdar, CMO of West II, and Mr. K. Subbulakshmanan, COM of Maratha Cements, in the presence of Principal Mr. Rajesh Sharma and Coordinator Mr. Amber Trivedi. Themed 'Harmony in Heritage: Unveiling India’s Cultural Mosaic', the exhibition was guided by Social Science Department Teachers Mr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan and Mrs. Mamata Potraje. Students creatively portrayed Jammu Kashmir and Manipur through folk dances, street plays, and exhibits highlighting agriculture, irrigation, and historical monuments.

The Art department organized a logo-making competition for students in classes 6-10 on November 3, 2023, aiming to foster students' creativity and critical thinking. Various themes were assigned to participants to inspire their designs.



Gadget Review Competition

The English department organized a Gadget Review competition on November 1, 2023, for students in classes VIII to X. The aim was to raise awareness about the advantages and disadvantages of gadgets and to analyze their features. This encouraged students to critically assess the features of newly launched products.




English Spell Bee Competition

Each participant demonstrated strong performance, highlighting the significance of comprehending and correctly recalling spellings rather than relying solely on memorization. Ambuja Vidya Niketan (AVN), Upparwahi held its investiture ceremony On August 7, 2023, introducing the freshly elected student council. Mr. Raghavendrarao Jahagirdar, Cluster Head of West II, Ambuja Cements Ltd, graced the event as the chief guest, joined by Mr. K. Subbulaxmanan, COM of Maratha Cements. Principal Mr. Rajesh Sharma administered the oath to council members, led by Head Boy Sonu Tiwari and Head Girl Adweta Dwivedi, elected via electronic voting. The event also saw the appointment of House Captains, Discipline Incharges, Safety Ambassadors, and Health & Hygiene Incharges. The Chief Guest commended the council's dedication and highlighted how their roles cultivate discipline, leadership, and future readiness. The event was anchored by Miss Shavini Niranjane and Master Akshar Tiwar of class X. The programme came to a close after the former Head Boy, Master Nitish Shah of Std. XI (Commerce) proposed a vote of Thanks.


 

Bhagvat Geeta Competition
